Three people, including teenager were shot in own backyard; 4 suspects in custody

SAN ANTONIO - Two men and a teenager are recovering after a shooting in their backyard on the East Side.

And police said four people are in custody in connection with this triple shooting.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday at a home off Steves Avenue.

Police said the three victims were in their backyard when reports of shots being fired in their area.

Investigators say a group of men were walking around shooting guns. They walked up an alley and fired shots into the backyard. Two men were hit. One was shot four times and is in serious condition. The other was shot twice. The 17-year-old boy was shot once in the arm.

All of them were rushed to the hospital.

Police tracked down four suspects along Piedmont Avenue and Vanderbilt Street. All four are in custody and waiting for official word on what charges they will be facing.
