LADY ANTEBELLUM: NEW MATERIAL MATERIALIZING
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- They already have a hit album out there. But members of Lady Antebellum are churning out material for future projects. While they say they are focusing on their first headlining tour these days, they are also working up songs for upcoming albums. Dave Haywood says they already have dozens of songs written -- and they are constantly working on writing. This week, Lady Antebellum got five nominations for the CMA Awards, which will be given out November 10 in Nashville.

LADY ANTEBELLUM: LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT ONE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- He isn't the first guy to be turned down for a date on Twitter. But Lady Antebellum guitarist Dave Haywood might be the first to be turned down by his own mom -- and for a date to go to the CMA Awards, no less. Haywood says he used Twitter to ask his mom to accompany him to the awards show because "she loves Twitter for some reason." But she can't make it. Haywood says he's "bummed" his mom won't be there -- but thinks his dad will be on hand. Haywood jokes that he's now "in the hunt" for someone to be his plus-one.

BROOKS & DUNN CLOSING IT OUT
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- They went out the way they came in. Brooks & Dunn ended their 20-year career as a duo by performing their first hit together -- "Brand New Man." The pair closed out their concert last night with an encore of the song that became their debut single back in 1991. The sold-out show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville was also Brooks & Dunn's final stop on their Last Rodeo Tour. It was also a fundraiser for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Kix Brooks told the audience early in the show: "This isn't a funeral. We did show up to party."

TOBY KEITH FAN GOES NUTS AFTER BUST
CINCINNATI (AP) -- His name was Forrest Frankenstein. So maybe it's no wonder why the Toby Keith fan allegedly acted like a bit of a monster after his arrest in Ohio last week. Authorities say Frankenstein threatened officers and beat his head against a partition in their cruiser after he was taken in. Frankenstein was asked by a judge this week why he "went crazy" at the August 27 Keith concert in Cincinnati. The man said he had been drinking and didn't really remember anything. He faces counts of menacing, disorderly conduct and vandalism.
BRAD PAISLEY TO DO CONCERT TO HELP GULF COAST AREA
GULF SHORES, Ala. (AP) -- Brad Paisley is among those lending a helping hand to people on the Gulf Shore after the BP oil spill. He will perform a concert next month to help boost tourism on the Alabama coast. Paisley's show will be October 17 -- two days after Bon Jovi performs. The concerts are free, but you need tickets to get in. Some will be made available to area residents, while others will be part of packages to go with hotel stays in the area starting next week.
