A day after James Chin was convicted of sexually abusing two young girls, jurors handed him a prison sentence.
Chin was sentenced to 45 years behind bars.
Prosecutors say Chin molested the girls starting when they were 8 and 10 years old.
Chin once worked at Our Lady of the Lake University and Helotes P.D. as an officer.
They said Chin also worked with the City of San Antonio in Code Enforcement.
On Monday, Chin was found guilty of 17 counts of continuous sexual abuse and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Memorial for dead Texas cheerleader set for Sunday

COLORADO CITY, Texas (AP) -- Hundreds are expected to attend a memorial for a Texas cheerleader whose remains were found more than two years after she disappeared.
Family, friends and supporters of 13-year-old Hailey Darlene Dunn will gather at Colorado Middle School on Sunday to bid a final farewell to the teenager who went missing in December 2010.
Dunn's remains were found March 16 near Lake J.B. Thomas in Scurry County, about 20 miles northwest of Dunn's hometown of Colorado City.
Authorities announced the remains were Dunn's April 26. Officials have not released a manner and cause of death. No arrests have been made.
Authorities initially named Shawn Adkins as a person of interest. He was Hailey's mother's boyfriend when the teenager disappeared. He has not been charged.
