Investigators say a fire at News 4 WOAI is likely electrical in nature.

News 4 was on the air when the two-alarm
fire broke out on the second floor of the building around 5 a.m.

WOAI is located at Navarro & N. St. Mary's.

All staff was evacuated when alarms sounded.

Flames could be seen shooting from the second story.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters are fighting hot spots and trying to find a cause.

Channel 4 programming was restored late this morning.

John Seabers, General Manager of WOAI-TV,
released the following statement on the fire this morning: “At approximately 5:00 a.m., a fire alarm was triggered at WOAI-TV, and the building was evacuated.  Fire units arrived shortly thereafter.  The fire was contained to 2nd floor offices.  We expect to have electricity restored to the building by noon, and we anticipate having WOAI-TV on the air later this afternoon.  We are grateful no one was injured.  We will have updates on our station’s status through our Facebook pages and our web site woai.com. We are grateful for the quick action by the San Antonio Fire Department, that everyone made it out safely and our viewers for reaching out to us with your caring words on Facebook."

Man faces arson charge after Houston fire
May 24, 2013 18:10 GMT

HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston police have arrested a man on an arson charge in an apartment complex fire allegedly started by a thrown Molotov cocktail.

The Houston Fire Department says one firefighter suffered a minor hand injury in the blaze extinguished early Friday. Several units suffered heavy damage.

Investigators say 26-year-old Darrius Owens allegedly was in a dispute with another family member at the apartments. Authorities are trying to determine the reason for the argument.

City jail records show Owens was in custody Friday with no immediate details on bond or an attorney for him.

Further details weren't immediately released. Red Cross officials were assisting displaced residents.
