A motorcycle rider died after crashing on San Antonio's northeast side.
Matias Ramirez, 62, was heading down I-35 near Rittiman when he tried to merge at Loop 410.
Police think he lost control and slammed into the concrete wall.
Ramirez was wearing a helmet.
A couple heading out of town saw the crash and was one of several good Samaritans who stopped to help.
"They were actually on their motorcycles going down to [Corpus Christi]," said Officer Robert Deckard with San Antonio police.
The couple wanted to help because the woman on the bike is a nurse at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
"She pulled over and started performing CPR with chest compressions," said Deckard.
Ramirez was taken to S.A.M.M.C. but it was too late to help him.
He died at the hospital.

Fort Hood suspect seeks to fire Army attorneys
May 22, 2013 20:25 GMT
FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) -- The Army psychiatrist charged in the deadly 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage says he wants to represent himself at his upcoming trial.
Fort Hood officials said Wednesday that Maj. Nidal Hasan is seeking to sever ties with his three Army attorneys.
The judge, Col. Tara Osborn, is to consider his request at a hearing next week. She also delayed jury selection to June 5, about a week after it was scheduled to start.
Hasan could face the death penalty if convicted in the attack on the Texas Army post that killed 13 people and wounded more than two dozen others.
In 2011, Hasan cut ties with his previous lead attorney, John Galligan, a civilian who's a retired Army colonel. Galligan has never said why he stopped representing Hasan.
