Lawyer Suing Spurs Speaks! Will Donate Money To Charity
A Miami-based attorney is suing the Spurs, alleging the team violated fair trade practices for sending three former All Stars and Danny Green home to rest before a game with the Heat back in November.
Larry McGinness says in the suit he and others suffered economic damages because nobody was told beforehand those players weren't going to play, even though Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich acknowledged he'd privately made the decision to rest his players on that night right after the schedule was announced.
McGuinness says he's suing the Spurs between "15 and 75-thousand dollars" for those people who had to pay for premium seating. The Heat also charge extra money for tickets for marquee teams like the Spurs when they come to town.
McGuinness says he's going to donate all of the money he recoups to Hurricane Sandy victims, and is simply trying to right a wrong. To listen to Chuck Miketinac's entire conversation, head to the Raw News section of the Fox San Antonio website.
