More Charges For Hurd
Former Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd received four new drug charges this week. Hurd now faces two counts of commission of a felony offense while on release and two counts of attempt to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, charges stemming from his arrest last month for violating conditions while out on bond.
Hurd's total is now facing six federal drug charges. His trial is next month. Hurd could still strike a plea deal with prosecutors.

More Heat and Humidity
A few isolated showers and storms continue to try to hold together across the NW part of the Hill Country but as they work South they fall apart. Expect that trend to continue through the night with only one or two hanging around. A strong upper level ridge of high pressure will take over by tomorrow afternoon and rain chances really slim down for the rest of the work week. Expect a very hot and humid pattern for the next seven days.
