San Antonio Police have arrested a suspect they say shot a man and stole his laptop overnight.
Police say Victor Nnabue, 22, is charged with aggravated robbery.
According
to investigators, Nnabue shot Juan Villareal, 24, in the abdomen after
Villareal refused to hand over his laptop and cell phone around 2:30
a.m. Sunday.
Police say Villareal and his girlfriend had just
gotten out of their vehicle at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of
Bandera Road when Nnabue approached them with a weapon.
The two refused to comply with Nnabue's demand and Nnabue tried to wrestle the items from them, police said.
Investigators believe Nnabue shot Villareal during the scuffle.
A security guard saw the scuffle and chased down Nnabue.
Villareal was taken to University Hospital and was listed in critical condition Sunday morning.
