FOX San Antonio - Raw News
It was a story Fox San Antonio first reported last year. One year later,
we are seeing for the first time a mentally challenged boy on an
Edgewood I.S.D. special needs bus being restrained by a bus aide.
Now the child's mother is suing the aide.
In
the video you see him restraining the child after saying "Sir. Sir. I'm
talking to you." The school district employee then gets in the child's
face, touching him, and that's when the child is restrained.
The incident goes on for over 15 minutes, as other special education students watch.
In
a statement, Ruben Franco, the bus aide, said that the child began
making animal sounds an engaged in an erratic and harassing behavior
toward another special education student on the bus.
The school
District issued a statement this afternoon saying that Franco had been
investigated and cleared by law enforcement agencies and CPS.
Franco is still employed as a bus aide at Edgewood I.S.D.
