Comment: Why do we use these band-aid programs when we could be making the citizenship process easier to get these people on the tax rolls and get the paying their fair share instead of just taking, taking, taking? by Phil
Comment: As a Mexican Citizen and Legal US Resident I will say with no doubt that I do NOT agree with what DOH is doing after Obama's Executive Order, Illegal activity is ILLEGAL activity, it doesn't matter if you are a friend, family member or else, you are breaking the law and rewarding such behavior will be the downfall of the U.S.A.... People may argue that they where kids, well the responsible thing to do was to get back to their home country after becoming an Adult and then getting in the correct path to Residence/Citizenship. Remember this provision is only good for 2 years and now they have ALL your information, this is just a political stunt, when politicians change their mind they may have a seat with your name tag on it heading south. by tyrone
Comment: another example of Obama going to far by Eric
Comment: This came from a presidential order which circumvented congress and the Will of the People. By issuing this order, the president became in affect a dictator who is violating our current laws. by John
Comment: Slap in the face to immigrants that came LEGALLY, took classes to learn the constitution & ENGLISH. DISGUSTING, hope Romney reverses it! by Maria
Comment: The president has acted outside of his Constitutional authority to allow the children of illegal immigrants to apply for temporary legal status. This is NOT the act of a president, this is that act of a tyrannical dictator who does not believe in or support the principles of democracy! by America
Comment: Enough already. We need to worry about our own people first. by Norma
Comment: I agree with the guy who mentioned the burden on taxpayers now that this in place. Americans have already lost alot due to the immigration problems. It's bad enough we don't have enough jobs for legal citizens now they are going to flood the unemployment rate even more. by Anthony
Comment: They are illegals - and it is quite obvious this was a political ploy by Obama - Congress has said NO! to this very same action for ten (10) years and it is NOT the will of the public for this to happen. by Aubrey
Comment: If a drug dealer gives homes, cars, property that he bought with drug money to his children, do they get to keep them? If a bank robber gives his children the loot, do they get to keep it? If a burgler gives his children the stolen items, do they get to keep it? If not, why not? It wasn't the children fault! So why should the children of illegal aliens be different and get to stay in the US when their parents committed a federal crime? by RJ
Comment: I believe everyone deserves an opportunity to work and prove themselves to this society. These people may not have been here legally but they are stepping up and giving back to this society by working and going to school. by Jessica
Comment: bama is wrong.. by james
Comment: They can wait like everybody else trying to become legal the right way.If my parents rob a bank that does not give me the right to keep the money..Its against the law. by Leo
Comment: People right here in San Antonio, Born American and US citizen. They cant get school loans, and free things. But someone here illegal has the right too? What a downfall for this town and Country. by Dallas
Comment: Our country needs to get back to holding people accountable for their actions. People are welcome to visit our country. But if you want to be a citizen of our country, there is a process. Illegal access is not one of the steps in this process. Mark - New Braunfels by Mark
Comment: So, if my parents would have robbed a bank when I was an infant "to improve our lives" I would be allowed to keep the cash? Ridiculous. Illegal is a pretty simple term, no need for debate. Then again, it is an election year... by James
Comment: There is a proper way to come into the USA and not break the law. This is not it. Just another attempt by OBAMA to buy votes at the expense of the taxpayers. He could care less about these illegal aliens as long as he can use them to gain votes. by lee
Comment: We are alreay struggling with unemployment! There is already a debt in welfare! Can we as a country really afford this? No we can't! by Sarah
Comment: more people at work is good! by Rosendo
Comment: Whether it's good policy or bad, it's wrong for Obama to make law by Imperial Decree. by Bob
Comment: The only way democrats get votes is by promising things to people who more often than not do not deserve them....They sure can't run on sound policies..... by Brett
Comment: If this imigrants had their education accomplished in this country and had the ability to apply for their citizenship in all this years, then why are they waiting until now. most of this imigrants have had a better education foundation than our legal citizens, i just can't understand why this is happening now. Of course there are exceptions, but not are all viable. by Steve
Comment: I wouldn't give a permit to work to someone who broke into my home. They, or their parents violated U.S. laws and boundaries; plus many receive tax payers benefits/support/education. Enough is enough! The U. S. needs to protect it's borders better and stop supporting illegals with tax dollars. One of the many reasons we have such a large deficit and lowered credit ratings.
