A motorcycle rider died after crashing on San Antonio's northeast side.
Matias Ramirez, 62, was heading down I-35 near Rittiman when he tried to merge at Loop 410.
Police think he lost control and slammed into the concrete wall.
Ramirez was wearing a helmet.
A couple heading out of town saw the crash and was one of several good Samaritans who stopped to help.
"They were actually on their motorcycles going down to [Corpus Christi]," said Officer Robert Deckard with San Antonio police.
The couple wanted to help because the woman on the bike is a nurse at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
"She pulled over and started performing CPR with chest compressions," said Deckard.
Ramirez was taken to S.A.M.M.C. but it was too late to help him.
He died at the hospital.

Bill bars future governors from Medicaid expansion
May 21, 2013 03:44 GMT
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- The House has approved requiring any decision by a future Texas governor to expand Medicaid first be approved by the Legislature.
Republican Rep. Jeff Leach of Plano tacked an amendment Monday night onto an omnibus long-term care bill. Approved 87-57, it bars future governors from unilaterally accepting increased federal funding by expanding Medicaid under the White House-backed health care law.
The measure must still be approved by the Senate.
Gov. Rick Perry says Texas won't expand Medicaid. But Leach's amendment ensures any other governor or state health commissioner can't move to do so without approval in the Texas Senate and House.
Democrats tried unsuccessfully to block Leach's amendment on parliamentary errors, and some Republicans argued against it.
But Leach said lawmakers "ought to be involved" in the decision.
