Somerset Rd. Shooting Victim ID'd

Authorities have identified the man found dead along the side of Somerset road in southwest Bexar County.
A passerby noticed the body of Jesse Rosas, 38, lying in the ditch Monday morning.
He'd been shot several times.
Sheriff's deputies are trying to figure out if Rosas was killed there or that's where his body was dumped.

Texas deputy killed in wreck, suspect detained

HOUSTON (AP) -- An off-duty Harris County sheriff's deputy has been killed in a traffic accident that's led to another driver charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Houston police say a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Andres Munos-Munos allegedly ran a red light and hit Sgt. Dwayne Polk's personal truck.
The 47-year-old deputy died at the scene early Sunday. Polk was in uniform and officials believe he was driving home following an off-duty job.
Munos-Munos appeared in court Monday and was ordered held without bond. Details weren't immediately available on an attorney for Munos-Munos, who suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
Polk had been with the sheriff's office for 16 years.
