A San Antonio police officer in the right place at the right time saves the life of a local college student.
Police say the girl happened to drive past Officer German Huerta moments before she crashed and her car burst into flames.
San Antonio police chief, William McManus, awarded Huerta with a certificate of merit for pulling the girl from her burning car.
Huerta says instinct certainly played a role, as well as, his 8 years in the Navy.
Police say they are still awaiting official toxicology results on the victim, Sara Silva, but say she will possibly face DWI charges.

House OKs disclosure, lobbying rules for lawmakers
May 21, 2013 00:27 GMT
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- The Texas House has voted to tighten disclosure and lobbying rules against state lawmakers -- including its own membership.
Representatives late Monday approved a requirement that those leaving the Legislature wait two years before becoming lobbyists.
Sponsored by Austin Democratic Rep. Donna Howard, the measure would stop the so-called "revolving door." That practice often sees lawmakers who retire or lose an election immediately accept sizeable pay increases to begin lobbying their former colleagues.
The House also passed a requirement proposed by Republican Rep. Giovanni Capriglione of Southlake that state lawmakers and their relatives publicly disclose all contracts they hold with government entities.
Both proposals came as amendments to an omnibus bill reauthorizing the Texas Ethics Commission.
They still have to clear the Senate before the legislative session ends May 27.
