Jury Acquits Martial Arts Instructor of Molestation Charges-- Jennifer Saucedo
A jury acquitted a local martial arts instructor accused of molesting
one of his students. Phetsamone Phongsavane clasped his hands together
after he was found not guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child
and indecency with a child. A 20-year-old woman accused Phongsavane of
molesting her when she was 8. Phongsavane's attorneys say his accuser
had inconsistencies in her story.

"It's been an incredible
strain on him, on his business, on his whole life," said Carl Lobitz.
"Now he's going to be able to get right back to it. He is understandably
quite happy about the jury's verdict."

Phongsavane is still teaching martial arts. If the jury would have convicted him, he faced up to life in prison. Jury Acquits Martial Arts Instructor of Molestation Charges-- Jennifer Saucedo

Texas officials find body of missing postal worker
May 18, 2013 15:10 GMT

HOUSTON (AP) -- Texas law enforcement agencies have found the body of a missing postal worker in the remains of her burned vehicle in a Houston suburb.

U.S. postal carrier Marie Youngblood had used her personal vehicle to deliver mail on her rural route. Investigators found her body late in that car late Friday.

The San Jacinto Sheriff's Department and other investigating agencies say they are looking for 37-year-old James Wayne Ham. They say he is considered armed and dangerous and is a person of interest in Youngblood's death.

U.S. Postal Inspector Dana Carter told KTRK-TV the agency considers the incident a "very serious matter for my agency."

The connection between Youngblood and Ham remains unclear.
