Gay Marriage Supporters Target Chick-Fil-A

Chick-Fil-A is once again the center of protest. Same-sex marriage supporters vowed to hold demonstrations today at Chick-Fil-A restaurants nationwide. It was dubbed "kiss mor chiks". The sit-ins aimed to voice disapproval with Chick-Fil-A and its stance against gay marriage.
In San Antonio, a protest at the restaurant on Bandera Road near Loop 1604 was peaceful as close to a dozen demonstrators showed up to voice their concerns.
Chick-Fil-A restaurants were packed Wednesday as supporters of the restaurant chain turned out for "Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day". The chain says sales on Wednesday set a new record.

Man linked to Mexican cartel gets 16 years

McALLEN, Texas (AP) -- Prosecutors say a man who helped get loads of cocaine moved from Mexico to Texas has been sentenced to 16 years in a U.S. prison.
A federal judge in McAllen on Thursday sentenced Juan Oscar Garza-Alanis. He pleaded guilty in October 2011 to drug conspiracy and money laundering counts. His brother and his sister also pleaded guilty to those counts in what prosecutors say was a drug trafficking ring linked to Mexico's Gulf cartel.
Cantalicia Garza was sentenced Thursday to more than five years in a U.S. prison. Prosecutors say she had an accounting role in the drug ring. Josue Ruperto Garza awaits sentencing.
The three siblings were arrested in Reynosa, Mexico, in 2007. They were extradited to the U.S. the following year.
