City To Put Refrigerators in Stores

A plan to encourage healthy eating on San Antonio's west side gets the green light from city council. They approved an ordinance this afternoon that will put refrigerators in five stores. Those stores must stock the fridges with produce that will be sold to the public. Metro Health says a grant will cover the $12,500 price tag.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (AP) --On the best playoff run in their short history, the Memphis Grizzlies refuse to be satisfied with just reaching their first Western Conference final. The San Antonio Spurs are looking for a little payback themselves after blowing a 2-0 lead a year ago and missing out on the NBA Finals. Tip off is today at 2:30 p.m. at San Antonio.

Andrus scored three runs, had two RBIs and stole a pair of bases as he hit leadoff for the second straight game in place of ailing second baseman Ian Kinsler.
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Jason Castro led off the 11th inning with a double and scored the go-ahead run on a close play at the plate as the Houston Astros won at the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2 last night. Rookie Jose Cisnero struck out five over three and two thirds scoreless relief innings for his first major league win. Jose Veras pitched a scoreless 11th for his sixth save.
SEATTLE (AP) -- The Seattle Sounders ended FC Dallas' nine-game unbeaten streak in MLS play with a 4-2 victory last night in the Pacific Northwest. League-leading Dallas hadn't lost since a 3-1 setback at Chivas USA on March 10th in the second game of the season.
