Today marks the 110th anniversary of the invention of air conditioning.
Willis Haviland Carrier submitted the first patent for what would eventually known as air conditioning in 1902.
San Antonians liked the idea so much that they constructed the first high-rise building in the country with built-in air conditioning less than 30 years later.
