In one way or another, government affects our daily lives. We pay taxes and fees to federal, state and local governments. Our taxes go to school districts, community colleges, hospital districts and transit organizations. Some of us receive government benefits -- everything from Social Security to Medicare to student loans.
But how well does government connect with you? Has government, at all levels, lost touch with its citizens? If so, then what needs to be done to re-establish voter trust, confidence and connection? If it hasn't, then what is working and how do we grow that to all branches at all levels?
On March 14 we held a live town hall meeting on Immigration. It was lively and informative - a must see!
