Severe Thunderstorm Watch West of San Antonio

Severe Thunderstorms Warning for Kinney...Maverick...Uvalde and Zavala Counties until 545 pm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is posted for areas West and Southwest of San Antonio until 10 pm. An area of strong to severe thunderstorms were located just west of Uvalde.  These storms are capable of producing hail and damaging winds of up to 60 mph along with locally heavy rainfall.  These storms are moving to the east at 35 mph.  The area of storms will be near the San Antonio area by early evening.

Storm Reports from Bracketville and Del Rio show wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph along with some 1/2 inch hail.
